Diesel Fuel Injection — Gold Coast & Tweed

Diesel fuel injection specialists serving the Gold Coast and Tweed. We test, recondition and repair common rail injectors, diesel pumps and complete fuel systems on all makes and models.

The fuel system is where most serious diesel problems begin and end. Common rail systems run at pressures above 2,000 bar and inject fuel in doses measured in milligrams — which means a tiny amount of wear, water or contamination shows up as hard starting, rough idle, smoke, poor economy or a limp-home light. With over 20 years reconditioning diesel fuel systems and a workshop full of dedicated testing and calibration equipment, we find the actual fault instead of replacing parts and hoping.

Unit injector and rotary pump servicing
OEM and quality aftermarket parts supply and fitting

Signs Your Diesel Fuel System Needs Attention

Hard starting when cold, a rattly or uneven idle, black or white smoke, a noticeable drop in fuel economy, loss of power under load, or a check engine light with rail pressure faults — these all point towards the injection system. Left alone, a leaking injector can wash the bore, damage a piston and turn a manageable repair into an engine rebuild.

We start with proper diagnosis: live data from the ECU, rail pressure testing, injector leak-off measurement and cylinder contribution testing. Only once we know which component is out of specification do we pull anything apart.

    Injector and Pump Reconditioning

Our workshop is set up to test and recondition injectors and pumps rather than simply throwing new units at a vehicle, which often saves customers a significant amount of money. Injectors are flow tested across the full operating range, stripped, cleaned, fitted with new internals as required, and recalibrated against manufacturer data before they go back in.

Diesel pumps — common rail high pressure pumps, older rotary pumps and unit injectors — are rebuilt to specification and pressure tested. Where a unit is genuinely beyond economical repair, we will say so, and quote you on a quality replacement.

    Contaminated Fuel and Water Damage

Bad fuel is a common cause of catastrophic injection damage, especially after filling in remote areas or from long-stored tanks. Water and dirt destroy the fine tolerances inside a common rail system very quickly. If you suspect a bad fill, stop driving and call us — the sooner the system is drained and flushed, the smaller the bill.

We handle full fuel system decontamination: tank drain and clean, line flushing, filter replacement and injector and pump inspection, then a road test with logging to confirm the system is back within specification.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my injectors are faulty?

Common symptoms are hard starting, a rough or noisy idle, excessive smoke, poor fuel economy, loss of power and rail pressure fault codes. A leak-off and cylinder contribution test will confirm it quickly, and that is where we start.

Can injectors be repaired instead of replaced?

In many cases yes. We flow test, strip, clean and recalibrate injectors with new internal components, which is usually far cheaper than new units. If an injector is beyond economical repair we will tell you straight.

How long do diesel injectors last?

On a well-maintained vehicle with clean fuel and regular filter changes, 200,000 to 300,000 kilometres is realistic. Poor fuel quality, stretched service intervals or water contamination will shorten that considerably.

I think I have put bad fuel in — what now?

Stop driving and call 0402 041 807. Running the engine circulates contaminated fuel through the pump and injectors and multiplies the damage. We can drain, flush and inspect the system before it becomes a major repair.

Do you work on all diesel brands?

Yes — Bosch, Denso, Delphi and Siemens systems across Toyota, Ford, Isuzu, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Volkswagen, RAM and more, plus trucks and machinery.
